I love the burke.. it's like my home away from home. My dad and I rode all the way out to Gas works this afternoon and witnessed several notable things: 1) the rockin grandpas on speedsters, 3) racers in spandex, necessary? meh. 2) The Wall of Death! ahahaha, 4) a car crash south of ticycles, 5) Molly Dever!

We managed to get back to Woodinville in an hour and fifteen minutes from Gasworks... and now I am terribly worn out.. but I love it!

in other news: Carly finished the recording of her song for the song writing contest! with special guest appearances by Austin Foxley on guitar and.... myself.. singing back up. ahhh! it was the weirdest thing ever! But quite fun.

and when all of those words you regretted saying happen to take some form and touch a person's life, that is when it is all worth it.

I think it was someday in intro to comm that we talked about interpersonal communication and how the people you are with act like a mirror... they reflect back to you who you are and such. After a few crazy days of good times and sore muscles I have come to a few more conclusions as to who I want to be and who I would rather burn at a torch.

Erin, Sarah, and Carly introduced me into their rad circle of friends, the mill creekers, the randomers, and the cru kids. Great times hanging out with awesome people and just worshipping God together through songs and our relationships. I am traditionally so terribly shy around new people, and I was, but Erin has this special skill of bringing me out of my shy cage and just encouraging me to be... me. So I start leaving my shy cage and rediscover my old favorite past time: kung-fu battles and wrestling in general. We used to do this all the time in my old youthgroup. (Mark and I had a crazy balance beam battle on a lateral log in yellowstone) Now I am getting a "violent" reputation with some of the mill creekers and it is so fun. Erin and I had a hardcore match on the kirkland waterfront last night, which actually killed all the more because of my sunburns. So fun.
