It is not a journalistic masterpiece or written artistic wonder. Instead it is way to keep the masses updated with the small aspects of my life...
so there we have it. I always do those stupid little introspective, "what's the point of this nonsensical wreck", inquiries and they help me rationalize but offer you all little entertainment. sorry. :)
Life in Canada continues! Thus far my favorite class is Communication Theory. Since I don't know how to communicate, learning how other people do it is thrilling! We haven't covered many theories in class yet, just discussing the difference between objective and interpretive schools of thought concerning communication theories and research. I think I lean more towards the interpretive camp; it's a bit post modern but is where most humanities type people fall.
I was recruited last night to work for the yearbook. The minimal experience I have gathered from the newspaper and yearbook has give n me so much insight into what I want to ultimately do. I changed the focus of my communications major from professional writing to media communications. Over the summer I fell in love with visual communication and will now pursue a career in that realm instead of written journalism. I still love writing, but I have so much more fun playing with layout and design. I hope in Lithuania I can work on their yearbook as well.
I have been so much happier this year. I can't quite explain why just yet, but I am just so terribly thankful for the constant spirit of joy God has placed within me. and I hope it is contagious to the girls around me. The girls in my dorm are all such beautiful people and I just want so badly to return to them all the joy and more that they give me.
