some healthy words for all:

See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the nd the confidence we had at first. As has just been said:

'Today, if you hear his voice
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.'

Hebrews 3:12-15

I read this a few days ago, telling myself to remember it and apply it to a few things in my own life I promptly forgot it. I read it again the next day (it was repeated in Hewbrews 4), told myself to remember, forgot. I read it again today: it's finally sinking in and playing in my mind in those moments when I'd rather harden my heart. His voice is calling me to love someone my bitter shadow would rather hate. I'll stick close to the light so the shadow dissipates because Jesus is love, not hate.
